High school math and science is harder than ever. And doing well on the SAT and ACT testing is so important to your child getting into the right school – and getting the right financial aid package. As parents, there is just so much you can do to help your kids succeed. As a tutor who has spent 30 years studying and working with math and science, I am here to help you. I am more than happy to work with your child to simplify what is being taught in the classroom, or help them prepare for the standardized tests. I am a former research and development engineer, and current High School Math, Science, and Computer Science teacher. I have a very strong background in STEM, as well as an excellent ability to explain even complex topics in an easy to understand way. In addition to multiple NJ State teaching certifications, I have a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering, and Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering. I served in the U.S. Air Force, and after leaving the military, spent much of my career conducting and managing research and development of advanced technology for military and civilian applications.
I have worked with students of all backgrounds and abilities; I teach them in a meaningful and personalized manner, based on their needs and goals. I have taught High School students at all levels, from basic and remedial to honors and AP, and have tutored students from middle school through college, helping them with coursework as well as preparing for standardized testing.
