Stephen M. Wiener is a veteran of the US Air Force. He held a number of positions while serving in the military, including working on the design, development, test, and evaluation of advanced electronics. After leaving the military, he conducted and led high-tech research and development projects and programs, for both military and civilian applications.  He currently teaches at the High School level, as well as tutoring students from middle school through high school and college.

Steve holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Rutgers University, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.  He completed the Alternate Route Teacher Education Program through St. Peter’s University, and is NJ State certified as Teacher of Mathematics, Teacher of Physics, and Teacher of Electrical technology.

Steve is a member of the American Mathematical Association, the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, including the IEEE Education Society and the IEEE Computer Society,  the International Society of Technology in Education, and the Computer Science Teachers Association.

In addition to teaching, Steve has tutored students in all levels of Math and Science, from basic and remedial through honors and AP, and from high school through college.  Steve also has significant experience preparing students to take standardized testing, including the ACT, the SAT, and the GRE.
